Which data do we store?

We store data from each function that requires storage in our databases. Amelie stores data to make functions usable. Amelie needs to store data to make functions work and to keep their settings and always be usable.

We store data from these functions: LYRA GAME, BAN, SLASH COMMANDS, JOINROLES, REACTION ROLES, WEBHOOKS, JOINMESSAGE, QUITMESSAGE, POLLS & TEMPLATES

Amelie does not store message content, we do not know what messages are written by users, Amelie already does not respond to any messages since the 2.1.0 update which appeared on - 04/25/2022, for this reason there are no prefix commands anymore and Amelie works only with interactions.

Amelie does however store database and cache activity, if you save, remove, modify or query anything from our database this is stored with us, the same goes for the cache, if you save, remove or query data from the cache system this activity is stored with us.

How do we protect this data?

Our servers are equipped with good security features that protect the data and Amelie itself.

  • We protect our servers with 2-factor authentication, this authentication code has only the administration team.
  • Our passwords for our servers are constantly changed and even if an attacker has the password, the 2Auth code query prevents him.
  • Team members have limited access to our servers and never have access to our databases. Moreover, all activities are logged.

Do we create backups?

Yes, our system saves a backup of the database every day, but only the backups of the last 2 weeks, so there are always only 14 backups on our backup server, if a new backup is created, the oldest one is removed. No team member has access to the backups!
